"Are you in the zone? Then this jammy, fruit filled Zinfandel is for you! Rancho Zabaco wines are named for one of the original land grants handed down to the Mexican people in the heart of Sonoma County in Dry Creek Valley. These settlers were bold and adventurous, qualities the winemakers at Rancho try to impart on their wines as well. Typically Zin in nature, this one is filled with black raspberry, spicy pepper and sweet liquorice, with an obvious backbone of acidity from the Petit Sirah which is also added. Drink now, and through until 2025." - 16/20, Wine Central Tasting Panel
A big, bold and critically acclaimed Zinfandel.
The spice and structure is in line with what has come to define this area as one of the world's premier Zinfandel regions. The palate is intense and rich, with concentrated cherry and blackberry flavours. Try with full-flavoured meat dishes such as grilled beef, lamb and pork.
Ranco Zasbaco is named after one of the original Mexican land grants in Northern Sonoma County.
88 Points, Wine Enthusiast "Extracted in dark blackberry and leather, there's a soft structure that makes this affordable wine work, leaving room for the peppercorn and dried herb so beloved in the variety."
